 Sisters and Brothers:

The strike by our brothers and sisters at the UPCE is over. I’d like to thank you for the solidarity you have shown over these five weeks. This is another concrete example of what solidarity in action truly means. Every one of you showed your eagerness to spend time and energy in defending the acquired rights of all postal workers.

The past weeks have allowed all workers at Canada Post to strengthen the bonds between them. No one ever forgets what it’s like to fight shoulder to shoulder, braving the weather with our brothers and sisters on the picket lines, sharing moments of intense emotion and showing our collective strength. Once again, you’ve shown that “an injury to one is an injury to all.” Thank you!Together, we will defend our universal and public postal service. The struggle conntinues. In solidarity,

 Denis Lemelin

National President, CUPW
