Rally at the Courthouse

May 26, 2015

Some executives, Fight back Committee members,  Hamilton Local CUPW members, Toronto  Local CUPW members, CURC, Builders’ trades, Musicians’ Union, OSSTF, UNIFOR, H&DLC members, activists, and members of the public staged a  protest against CPC’s planned cuts and showed support for the City of Hamilton, as the City and CPC lock legal horns in a battle over who has jurisdiction over the placement of CMBs. National President Mike Palacek spoke to several news organizations in front of the Courthouse, as Acting President Terry Langley and Acting First Vice President Anibal Borges were already in the Courtroom, observing the legal proceedings. The whole country is watching this legal battle closely as a precedent may be set that determines whether or not Canada Post can proceed  with its’ planned conversion to CMBs.
