As per 5.8 of the Local by-laws, nominations must be submitted to the Local in writing no later than 14 days prior to the meeting. All nominations must clearly indicate the name of the nominee, the name of the nominator and must be signed by the nominator. As per 8.7 of the Local by-laws, if a nominee is not going to be present at the meeting, they must provide a written statement to the Local Office indicating their acceptance of the nomination.
